Is Soundclick still a MUST for lead capturing and having an overall presence online? I&#8217;ve read many forums and charts too that show that its\u00a0traffic is on the decline. What are your thoughts on SoundClick now in 2015 and the future of it?<\/em><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><em>Would you still recommend it\u00a0despite the claims that it&#8217;s dying? If so, why? Thanks.<\/em><em>&#8220;<\/em><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<h2>So why\u00a0is Soundclick traffic declining?<\/h2>\n<p>I personally\u00a0think it starts with fact that they haven&#8217;t revamped their website in many years, even to keep\u00a0up with the current website standards for 2015. Namely, they continue to use an outdated (non-responsive) layout\u00a0and Adobe Flash (another outdated technology in our ever-growing mobile world)\u00a0as their primary music\/beat players.<\/p>\n<p>As you can see from this website traffic estimator,\u00a0<strong>Soundclick&#8217;s traffic has decreased nearly 43%<\/strong> within the past year &#8211; a drop from nearly 2 million to less than 1.1 million visits per month.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright wp-image-5698 size-full\" src=\"http:\/\/www.tcustomz.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/04\/soundclick-traffic-decline-2015.png\" alt=\"selling-beats-on-soundclick\" width=\"656\" height=\"415\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.tcustomz.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/04\/soundclick-traffic-decline-2015.png 656w, https:\/\/www.tcustomz.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/04\/soundclick-traffic-decline-2015-300x190.png 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 656px) 100vw, 656px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>While this is true that\u00a0the website seems to be going downhill, there is still a ton of quality traffic going to the site &#8211; a.k.a. <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">music artists looking to buy your beats<\/span>!<\/p>\n<p>And overall, it&#8217;s still very much an authority website according to the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.alexa.com\/siteinfo\/soundclick.com\" target=\"_blank\">global and U.S. Alexa rankings<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2>Should you be Selling Beats\u00a0on Soundclick in 2015?<\/h2>\n<p>Well here was my response to the e-mail:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><em>&#8220;Is there any particular reason why you\u00a0<span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">wouldn&#8217;t<\/span>\u00a0want to\u00a0have a presence on Soundclick? Even if it\u2019s partially declined over the years.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><em>As I always preach, the idea is to be everywhere with a heavy focus on your own, <a href=\"http:\/\/tcustomz.com\" target=\"_blank\">personal website<\/a>. \u00a0As you know, there is still a lot of quality traffic going to Soundclick.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><em>So if you\u2019re asking:\u00a0<strong>Should you go \u201call-in\u201d on selling beats on Soundclick in 2015?<\/strong>\u00a0\u00a0My answer has always been \u2018no\u2019.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><em>Alternatively,\u00a0if\u00a0you\u2019re asking: <strong>Should you have a presence there to take up additional real estate on the web and supplement your beat sales?<\/strong>\u00a0 Well then, my answer is \u2018yes\u2019.&#8221;<\/em><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>In my personal opinion, your $10\/month investment for a VIP SC page is still very much worth it\u00a0for the extra traffic\u00a0you get\u00a0on\u00a0the platform\u00a0&#8211; but I&#8217;ve always been against using\u00a0SC\u00a0as a replacement for your primary website. \u00a0Definitely take advantage of these types third-party sites for <a href=\"http:\/\/www.tcustomz.com\/blog\/sell-beats-online-2014-get-maximum-exposure-music\/\" target=\"_blank\">maximum exposure selling your beats online<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2>Ranking in the Charts and Paid Promotion<\/h2>\n<p>Over the years, <a href=\"http:\/\/soundclick.com\" target=\"_blank\">Soundclick<\/a>&#8216;s higher tier promotion services have become quite pricey. \u00a0And depending on your paid advertising budget, it may make it quite difficult to compete with the regular, heavy-hitters in the primary charts.<\/p>\n<p>However, my focus is typically on<strong>\u00a0ranking high in the <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">sub-genre<\/span> charts<\/strong> &#8211; like <a href=\"http:\/\/tcustomz.com\/east-coast-beats.html\" target=\"_blank\">East Coast<\/a>, or <a href=\"http:\/\/tcustomz.com\/underground-beats.html\" target=\"_blank\">Underground<\/a>.
