At the end of that post, I included a<strong> bonus<\/strong> with a link to the 1,000 fan formula.<\/p>\n<h3>Introduction<\/h3>\n<p>As you continue to attract and grow your fan base, you&#8217;ll develop a varying degree of fans.\u00a0 In particular, the different levels of financial support they&#8217;re willing to give you. And you&#8217;ve probably already experienced this, but here are a few examples.<\/p>\n<h2>Fan Level #1 &#8211; &#8220;Casual Fan&#8221;<\/h2>\n<p>You&#8217;ll have certain followers who are only apt to click the &#8220;Like&#8221; button on one of your Facebook posts,\u00a0 or maybe share some of your music from time to time &#8211; but they&#8217;ve never actually bought your music, beats, services, etc. This could be for a number of reasons.\u00a0 Maybe they&#8217;ve just discovered you recently and are still getting to know, like and trust you. Or maybe they&#8217;ve been following you for years and are never actually going to put any money down for your cause. And that&#8217;s okay, because <strong>we need all levels of fans in order to be successful<\/strong>.\u00a0\ud83d\ude42 This level of fan is generally interested in your music and what you&#8217;re about, but is not contributing to support you financially at the current moment.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/facebook.com\/tcustomzproductionz\" target=\"_blank\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-6205\" src=\"http:\/\/www.tcustomz.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/05\/casual-fans.jpg\" alt=\"casual fans\" width=\"304\" height=\"304\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.tcustomz.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/05\/casual-fans.jpg 350w, https:\/\/www.tcustomz.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/05\/casual-fans-150x150.jpg 150w, https:\/\/www.tcustomz.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/05\/casual-fans-300x300.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 304px) 100vw, 304px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<h2>Fan Level #2 &#8211; &#8220;Supporter&#8221;<\/h2>\n<p>This level of fan has actually shown some sort of financial support.\u00a0 Maybe they bought your single off iTunes, or possibly opted into your mailing list and purchased your pre-sale offer.\u00a0 But overall, they haven&#8217;t <em>consistently<\/em> supported you.\u00a0 The good news is because they&#8217;ve already spent money with you once, they&#8217;ll be magnitudes more likely to buy your music in the future and eventually turn into the level #3 fan.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-6206\" src=\"http:\/\/www.tcustomz.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/05\/supporter.jpg\" alt=\"supporter\" width=\"619\" height=\"348\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.tcustomz.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/05\/supporter.jpg 1280w, https:\/\/www.tcustomz.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/05\/supporter-300x169.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.tcustomz.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/05\/supporter-1024x576.jpg 1024w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 619px) 100vw, 619px\" \/><\/p>\n<h2>Fan Level #3 &#8211; &#8220;Hardcore\/True Fan&#8221;<\/h2>\n<p>These are the fans who are fanatics, or what is described as a &#8220;true fan&#8221; &#8211; someone who has supported you time and time again, project after project. This is the group of hardcore fans who you can rely on to support you long term.\u00a0 They make up the core group of who you really need to make the <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">1,000 true fans<\/span> formula work.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-6204\" src=\"http:\/\/www.tcustomz.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/05\/1000-true-fans.jpg\" alt=\"1000 true fans\" width=\"612\" height=\"408\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.tcustomz.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/05\/1000-true-fans.jpg 3000w, https:\/\/www.tcustomz.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/05\/1000-true-fans-300x200.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.tcustomz.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/05\/1000-true-fans-1024x683.jpg 1024w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 612px) 100vw, 612px\" \/><\/p>\n<h2>1,000 True Fans<\/h2>\n<p>So in a nutshell, the 1,000 fan formula states that if you have 1,000 &#8220;true fans&#8221; who are willing to support you at a $100\u00a0 investment annually, you have the potential to make $100,000 per year off your music.<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<h3>1,000 True Fans x $100\/year = <strong>$100,000\/year<\/strong><\/h3>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>And for most independent musicians, producers and artists &#8211; that&#8217;s a pretty substantial living. Now if your goal is to make more per year, you can obviously scale up from that.
